While doing a little browsing about the NoBusiness record label's website, this video jumped out - a performance by the masterful musicians Lao Dan and Vasco Trilla (woodwinds and percussion, respectively). The duo released a recording together on the label called New Species in 2025 and this performance was captured at Old Heaven Books in Shenzhen, China.
The first two video's of the performance are shared here, in which we first encounter Lao Dan playing a traditional Chinese clarinet-like instrument, followed by part two where he switches wooden flute. The later links to parts 3 and 4 lead to Trilla's Youtube channel where the saxophone come into play.

Thank you for sharing this performance. I enjoyed hearing Lao Dan move from the traditional Chinese clarinet-like instrument to the wooden flute, and how Vasco Trilla's percussion gives the duo so much space and momentum. The intimate setting at Old Heaven Books really suits this kind of close, listening-focused improvisation, and the contrast between the first two parts makes me want to follow through to parts three and four as well.
